Arrivo is seeking a highly qualified Senior Embedded Hardware Engineer based out of the downtown Los Angeles headquarters. The candidate will perform schematic design and PCB layout for multi-layer, high density PCBs, including digital, analog, programmable logic, and microcontroller technologies.
 
Applicant must have experience in low power embedded systems architecture, firmware development,
analog and digital sensor circuitry, hardware schematic and PCB design and development, real-time
software control applications, multi-sensor integration (working with sensor interfaces, such as
lidar, GPS and radar), wireless communications, RTOS and BSP development.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design printed circuits and or hardware/system design for new products
  • Work with manufacturing to support prototype sample builds and test
  • Develop functional and test specifications for electronic, electrical and electro-mechanical
    products
  • Troubleshoot, test and characterization of circuits
  • Lead and perform DFMEA, worst case analysis, EMC testing and PFMEA
  • Work with manufacturing to support prototype sample builds and test
  • Serve as a mentor and technical leader during project assignments

QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • Bachelors/Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other appropriate field
  • Experience with CAD toolset
  • Schematic capture (Orcad/Cadence)
  • PCB layout (Cadence/Allegro)
  • Embedded firmware (C, C++)
  • FPGA Design - VHDL (Xilinx)
  • Experience with product development cycle, including project deliverables timing, work flow and
    gate reviews
  • Proficient verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven track in identifying problems as well as developing solutions
